He anticipated encountering fierce resistance on his upcoming book tour, so a little sparring with me would give him the chance to try out various rhetorical strategies in flyover country. To pass the time on the drive through corn country, he invited me to try and take him down as an atheist. ( God Is Not Great would come out the following May.) Since Christopher knew I was Catholic, he counted on the title being an irritant. On the two-hour drive from Detroit Metro Airport to Grand Rapids, he mentioned that his next book would be released soon. ![]() I’d invited him to come to the Hauenstein Center to talk about his recent book on Thomas Jefferson. (but iʼll address a few things later on.)Īnd imani? perfect. ![]() and him being nonverbal actually made me feel seen – not because i am nonverbal all the time, but because my autism makes me go nonverbal at times. him receiving love from the people he loves made me actually, genuinely, truly happy. him entering a new stage of his life made me actually, genuinely happy. his struggles felt actually real and still made me sob at times. but it was worth it, wasnʼt it? (donʼt answer incorrectly, noël yhlas.)Įspecially skylar felt way too relateable. poor noël had to listen to my speeches for hours. i loved how relateable they were, how real they felt. it was a great start in the series and i definitely plan on reading more! This was my first noahverse read, but i didnʼt feel like i missed any information. ![]() |
